Londen conference AHFAP association for historical and fine art photography. November 2019.

I once studied at the Royal Academy in Den Bosch because I wanted to be a visual artist. Later, I came into contact with photography and discovered that this is where my quality lies.

Since 1987, I have had my own photo studio. What I like about my work is the combination of photographing art and the technical aspect of photography.

My studio carries out assignments for the cultural sector.

The Rijksmuseum.

From 2007 to 2022 I worked as a photographer and consultant for the PK online project at The Rijksmuseum.

I was involved in the Night Watch project.

In 2015 and 2017 and 2022 I gave workshops at the congress 2 and 3D photography. Held at the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam and online.

Also workshops and presentations in London; AHFAB, in 2019 and 2020.

I am co-author of the manual for 2D objects for the Rijksmuseum and involved in the introduction of the guidelines for digitisation , as a guide for all photography in the museum.

I have also developed a quality control tool; the RIPT. Rijksmuseum Image Performance Tool.

Dutch National Archives

At the Nationaal Archief in The Hague, I worked as a digitisation consultant on the Metamorfoze ABC project.  I advised involved institutions on scanning or photographing paper heritage.

After working for the institute, I gave courses for new employees on digitising and assessing scans.

Now I give advice, lectures and workshops on the technique of modern reproduction photography to various institutions.

It gives me great satisfaction to immerse myself in the ever-evolving technique of photographing works of art as beautifully as possible. I consider it a privilege to do so with integrity and truthfulness.
